Ceska Serenity ( pronounced chess-ka' ) is located away from the noisy highway and Big Bear Village in the highly desired Upper Moonridge area. It's amazing how removed you feel staying at Ceska Serenity, yet the ski resorts, lake, Village and national forest access are only a few minutes away. Skiing, boarding, boating, lake fishing, bicycling, off road touring, kayaking, hiking, nature walks, golf, tennis, shopping, star gazing on the deck - It's all within a few minutes easy reach from Ceska Serenity.

We have been dedicated to provide people from all around the world the chance to experience the serenity that Ceska can bring. Ceska Serenity has even been the location for 2 weddings under the branches of our 300 year old pinetree. It's that kind of spiritual place. We have been honored to host numerous military personnel and their families in aiding their escape from daily base life. We are so honored to have them stay with us, we offer a military discount to active duty service men and women.

And then there are the views - ski slopes and mountain tops with beautiful purple and orange sunsets. There is plenty of wildlife in the area as well. Many different kinds of birds make their homes in the trees at Ceska Serenity, especially one returning family of red crested woodpeckers and our resident family of 3 grey squirrels that cruise the large deck nearly every morning year round. Keep an eye out and the camera ready for the early morning coyotes that like to travel through the area. 

There's a queen size bed in the bedroom with European wall tapestry hanging above. In the living room there's a pull out full size bed for another adult or two small children; a European style cast iron fireplace/stove to help keep you warm and toasty those chilly winter evenings; complete digital satellite television with ALL the premium movie channels; a 26" flatscreen TV (no HD yet), an FM stereo/CD/DVD system featuring two Bose 601 loudspeakers and 200w of Sony amp power; the US and CZ flags fly above the room; a living room ceiling fan for those balmy summer afternoons plus many other touches. All lower windows in Ceska Serenity are dual pane Millgard vinyls, the very best for insulation and sound proofing for when the mountain winds blows.

The paved single car driveway is on a flat grade, so no steep hill or long stairways to deal with. From your car door you are less than 15 feet and 6 steps up to the front door.

You will find the efficient kitchen completely provisioned with everything you need to cook those gourmet meals that Ceska Serenity inspires; real ceramic plates and glassware, not cheap Melmac, paper or plastic; glass wine stemware; complete pots, pans and bake ware; wok; microwave; gas stove/oven; toaster oven; vegetable/rice steamer; coffee maker, mandolin food slicer/processor. New main room carpet, larger refrigerator and gas stove/range are recent upgrades.

Ceska Serenity has a full sized bath complete with lots of fresh dry towels, a full sized tub/shower with modern facilities on wood laminate flooring.

Perhaps the single greatest amenity provided to guests of Ceska Serenity - the cozy outside on-the-deck hot tub that awaits you on those cool summer evenings or brisk winter afternoons after a hard day of skiing or boarding.
